driving the highway home
i’m looking at the lights of
all these cars and i’m wondering
how many of these people
are going to have sex tonight…
probably not that many.
& i wonder how many of
all these people will be
killing somebody tonight…
and i think it’s probably not a lot.
so i drive on and i’m wondering
how many will still masturbate
tonight thinking of someone,
and how many will eat another
animal killed for their consumption…
and i think it’s likely to be most of them.
but what do i know…
i’m just driving home
alone to my own fantasy.
