Its good to point out how backward our people still are, in terms of their social positions. But blaming the ANC for the deal they got from Codesa is a bit short-sighted, because under the position we where in, in the nighties, there was no other option for them. If they had went with the choice of not making any compromises, and opted for a total revolution with the aim of toppling the whole white structure, we would not have won. I can confidently say that we would have been still fighting a war with the Apartheid regime and i’m not sure if we would be in a better potion than the one we are in. I am not saying that the ANC has not failed OUR people dismally with regards to the promises they made. But lets not for one second think that we where in a potion to dictate the terms of “post-apartheid” south africa. Quite frankly lets not delude ourselves and think we would have won a war with that regime, coz we wouldn’t have.
