r.i.p. Marcel Mazé

Filed under: dionysos andronis, film, film as subversive art — ABRAXAS @ 2:03 pm

Dear all,

We are particularly sad to let you know that Collectif Jeune Cinéma’s founder and honorary president, Marcel Mazé, passed away during the night of February 13th.

We will pay a tribute to his involvement in experimental and different cinema on March 15th at La Clef Cinema in Paris.

The 40 years of his CJC were celebrated in many institutions last year like the Centre Pompidou in Paris) or the TIFF (in Thessaloniki). The Kagablog each time was informing you about the birthday screenings.

Congratulmations also to you Miss Raynal for your films of the same group. The last trip Marcel Mazé made was for the TIFF and then he came in my Athenian home for some days.
