Caeleen Zietsman, 12 years old, demonstrating today on Main Road, Greyton, for the release of her father, land rights activist HAROLD ZIETSMAN who has been held in custody since Tuesday 4 April on trumped up charges of public violence. The arrests of eight land rights activists followed the burning of the Greyton Market by unknown arsonists in the early morning of 4 April. Instead of demarcating the burned out market a crime scene, police officers stood by and watched while towns people cleaned away all the evidence and effectively made it impossible to ever forensically investigate this crime. Was this a simple blunder? An example of utterly useless policing? Or something more sinister? A deliberate attempt to make sure a forensic investigation was impossible, thereby allowing the incident to be used in order to round up the leadership of the Greyton Land Rights Committee? We demand justice for the Greyton Eight. FREE HAROLD ZIETSMAN
